In Van Wilder: Freshman Year, Van Wilder (Jonathan Bennett) just graduated high school and is entering Coolidge college. It’s a family tradition to go to Coolidge. Van Wilder doesn’t really like Coolidge though, because they have too many rules against partying, sex, kissing, drugs, ect. Dean Charles Reardon (Kurt Fuller) wants to get Van Wilder to leave the college my getting Dirk (Steve Talley) and Dirk’s sidekick, Corporal Benedict (Nick Nicotera), who are ROTC students, to make him leave by beating him up and being cruel to him. Van Wilder also falls for Dirk’s girlfriend, Kaitlin (Kristin Cavallari), which makes Dirk even more mad. Later, Dean Reardon and Van Wilder play a military game against each other. They each got their own army, and they had to try to take the arm band off of enemy players. The first team to take the arm band off the opposing general, won. Van Wilder won by partying, and he also won Kaitlin.
